Alina's Journey is an inspirational short documentary film that tells the story of young Ukrainian sailor Alina Shapovalova’s path from the devastation of war toward her dream of qualifying for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics sailing competition. Directed by Emmy Award winning filmmaker, Jack Baric, the film illustrates Alina’s courage, resilience, and determination. It also chronicles how the local community surrounding the Port of Los Angeles generously funded Alina's visit to the port to train and race in the same waters where the Olympics will be held.
